A winged migration that announces the arrival of the austral spring / Una migración alada que anuncia el arribo de la Primavera austral

The Bare-faced Ibis (Phimosus infuscatus), as many migratory birds which inhabit Uruguay, travels several hundreds if not thousands of miles toward warmer latitudes in the autumn. They make the return journey to their southern latitude summer home in the spring, always taking the same route, using the natural compasses of the universe, such as the stars and the sun, to find their way.
El Ibis de cara roja (Phimosus infuscatus), como muchas aves migratorias que habitan Uruguay, vuelan varios cientos de kilómetros, si no miles hacia latitudes más cálidas en el otoño. Emprenden su viaje de retorno hacia su hogar estival de latitud sureña durante la primavera; tomando siempre la misma ruta y empleando las brújulas naturales del universo tales como las estrellas y el sol para encontrar su camino.
